MHCC Health Care Artificial Intelligence Symposium
The Maryland Health Care Commission (MHCC) is planning a virtual Health Care Artificial Intelligence (AI) Symposium. Hear from researchers, providers, health information technologists, legal advisors, and data privacy and security experts supporting the integration of AI in clinical settings. Presentations will cover a range of subjects on AI risk management, from cybersecurity to algorithmic bias, data integrity, and transparency, as well as key considerations from conceptualization and development of AI technologies to ensure successful implementation. Presentations will soon be available to view on-demand.

The public comment period will be open from March 13, 2025, to March 26, 2025. Comments may be submitted via email to mahlet.konjit-solomon@maryland.gov.
Please reference the applicant's name and project title in your comments.
All comments received will be provided to the Data Release Advisory Committee for consideration during the application review process, as outlined in COMAR 10.25.05.09.

The MHCC is excited to announce that SCAS Management Group, LLC (SMG) has been selected as our new third-party administrator (TPA) responsible for adjudicating Trauma Fund claims.
SCAS Management Group, LLC (SMG) was founded in 2011 and is based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. SMG specializes in providing administrative services to both government and private payers. We look forward to a long and successful partnership with SMG, working together to provide exceptional customer service to our Trauma Fund providers. Claims processing is expected to resume around April 1, 2025, and additional information will be shared in March.
