COMAR Regulations Title 10, Subtitle 24
COMAR Chapters 10.24.01—10.24.06 include regulations that provide authority for the Commission to:
- Implement the State’s certificate of need review program for health care facility and services development
- Collect data necessary to support planning and policy development for hospital services, institutional and community-based long-term care services, ambulatory surgery centers and free-standing medical facilities
- Provide Non-Primary PCI Waivers through participation in the follow-on C-PORT E Registry
10.24.02 Data Reporting by Hospitals
The Data Reporting by Hospitals provides authority for the Commission to collect data necessary to support planning and policy development for hospital services.
10.24.03 Maryland Long-Term Care Survey
The Maryland Long Term Care Survey regulations provide authority to the Commission to collect data necessary to support planning and policy development for institutional and community-based long-term care services.
10.24.04 Freestanding Ambulatory Surgical Facilities Survey
The Freestanding Ambulatory Surgical Facilities Survey regulations provide authority to the Commission to collect data necessary to support planning and policy development for ambulatory surgery centers.
10.24.06 Data Reporting by Freestanding Medical Facilities
This chapter provides the authority for the Commission to conduct a study of the operation, utilization, and financing of freestanding medical facilities, using information from the pilot project.
10.24.01 Procedural Regulations for Health Care Facilities and Services
The procedural regulations implement the State's certificate of need review program for health care facility and services development.
Adopted under Maryland's health planning law, the State Health Plan establishes the policies, standards, and criteria that guide MHCC's regulatory decisions on Certificates of Need, Conformance, and Ongoing Performance, and that direct State agencies in regulating, funding, and planning for health care.
