FIELD HOSPITAL EMERGENCY CON - EM-H20-FH
On April 10, 2020, based on OHCQ’s recommendation, the Executive Director of the MHCC issued to Maryland General Hospitals an Emergency CON (E-CON) for all field hospitals that are or will be located on the campus of a Maryland acute general hospital. Under that E-CON, a Maryland general hospital does not need to apply for an E-CON to set up a field hospital that is located on its campus. Please comply with the required notifications included in the Emergency CON Order (page 2). A hospital must apply for an E-CON if a field hospital is being erected off the hospital campus, at a prison, a fairground, or other location. A hospital must also apply for an E-CON to establish a modular ICU on or off the hospital campus.
