- PRESENTATION: Professional Services Report
Staff will present the 2012 Professional Services Report, which includes analyses of variation by payor market share, in vs. out-of-network rates, region, and type of service, and includes comparisons to Medicare and Medicaid payment rates. Staff will propose the provider pricing web application under development (described below) be used to meet the requirements of the legislative mandate in lieu of the formal report. - PRESENTATION: MHCC’s Response to CMS’s release of Practitioner and Supplier Payment Information – Version 2
Based on the feedback from Commissioners at the last meeting, staff have worked to add additional functionalities to the provider pricing web application, such as permitting provider comparisons and options for filtering data. Staff will solicit feedback at the meeting and will make the application available to Commissioners and members of the Practitioner Performance Measurement Workgroup for further review and feedback after the Commission meeting. - DEMONSTRATION: Advance Directive Registry
Staff will provide a demonstration of an advance directive system being developed under contract to ADVault Inc. and with the active participation of CRISP. The overall goal of the registry is to make advance directives electronically available as part of a patient’s health record. Once in operation, consumers will be able to upload an advance directive through a secure website and cloud-based registry maintained by ADVault, and then provide accessibility to the registry through the CRISP query portal. Integration between ADVault and CRISP will enable consumer access while allowing healthcare providers that are using CRISP to search for a patient’s advance directive at the point of care. Initial funding for the registry’s implementation was made available through the ONC Challenge Grant and DHMH. The staff will demonstrate key functionality of the prototype application and seek Commissioner comment on the prototype. - ADJOURNMENT
