Topic: Value Based Care Delivery - February 25, 2016

The webinar included presentations about value-based care delivery (VBCD). VBCD consists of integrated care delivery models that use a collaborative, patient-centric approach rewarding providers for improved outcomes in terms of quality and cost as opposed to volume of services rendered. Howard County LHD presented on their implementation of VBCD to promote primary care and create efficiencies in care delivery. A Management Service Organization (MSO), ZaneNet, presented information on how MSOs can assist LHDs with VBCD by optimizing use of EHRs and HIE, among other things.
