This section of the web site contains links to agencies that can help you with a variety of services including benefits for older persons, persons with disabilities and caregivers.

  • Senior Information and Assistance: Information Services are available for seniors through the Maryland Department of Aging. This service offers a single point of entry into the local aging network and information on services and benefits for older persons, their families and caregivers.
  • Senior Health Insurance Program (SHIP): This is not an insurance program, but it is a valuable service meeting an important need of Medicare beneficiaries of any age in understanding their health insurance benefits, bills and rights.
  • Transportation Assistance: Information from the Maryland Department of Transportation about several programs to assist with transportation: Mobility/Paratransit, the Reduced Fare Care Program, the MTA Taxi Access Service, Local Transportation Information, and Driver Safety Information.
  • Technology Assistance: Information that relates to any item needed to live, work, or get around the home or community more effectively and independently.
