The Maryland Health Care Commission (MHCC) has conducted the Maryland Hospice Survey annually beginning in fiscal year 2003. The survey is available online for completion beginning in late winter. The survey collection period runs for 60 days. The reporting requirements of the Maryland Hospice Survey are specified in the Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR 10.24.03). Under those regulations, providers are required to submit accurate, timely, and complete data needed by the Commission to support planning for hospice services. This data is used to update the Hospice Chapter of the State Health Plan and the Hospice Need Methodology. To comply with Maryland law, facilities must have their survey accepted by the specified due date.
Survey Data can be accessed by the Public under Health Care Community>Public Use Files.
