Home health agencies (whether general or specialty) licensed to serve clients of Maryland are required to submit an Annual Report to the Commission no later than 150 days after the conclusion of each agency’s fiscal year. The reporting requirements for all licensed Maryland home health agencies are specified in the Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR 10.07.10.12). This annual survey instrument satisfies both Office of Health Care Quality (OHCQ) requirements and MHCC requirements (COMAR 10.24.03). Under those regulations, agencies are required to submit accurate, timely, and complete data to the Commission to support planning of long term care services. This data is used to publish the Maryland Home Health Agency Statistical Profile, update the State Health Plan, develop trend analysis, and assess the financial health and performance of the industry. To comply with Maryland law, agencies must have their report submitted by the specified due date. This report serves as a pre-requisite to renewal of its Home Health Agency license.

2007 Home Health Survey Notice:
The 2007 Home Health Survey (formerly called Home Health Annual Report)
will be a web-based application. Agencies will have the ability to log
on to our Web site, complete the survey and submit the survey to the Commission.
The Commission will not accept any paper surveys. The survey is scheduled
for release during the third week of September. The MHCC will notify you
by mail of the survey start date, due date and your log on ID and Password
in the coming weeks. Please continue to gather your information, the data
items have not changed.
