Since June 30, 2006, when Contract Weekly, a periodical used by Maryland State government agencies to post notices of procurement solicitations, ceased publication, the State of Maryland has been using the website eMaryland Marketplace to announce and award all State contracts. The website www.eMarylandMarketPlace.com offers a subscription-free service to all vendors conducting business within Maryland.
All future procurement opportunities and contract awards will be handled using eMaryland Marketplace. Effective July 1, 2006, in order to receive a contract award, a contractor must be registered on eMaryland Marketplace (eMM). Additional information pertaining to the new eMM Fee Structure Regulation, and eMM Fee Collection Process should be perused.
In accordance with COMAR 21.05.02.16 Publicizing Awards, the notice of awards must be made available to the public within 30 days after execution and approval of the contract. In order to comply with this requirement, your firm must register with eMaryland Marketplace so that an announcement of future contracts and contract prices may be published.
