The Maryland Health Care Commission (MHCC) and the Health Services Cost Review Commission (HSCRC) are working collaboratively to implement an interoperable statewide health information exchange (HIE). This effort has led to progressive movement towards the actual implementation of the exchange and various working papers have been created as the implementation development continues. These working papers lay the foundation for the creation of a blueprint, or plan, that will be used to build the statewide HIE. These documents will serve to share the decisions made to implement a statewide HIE in Maryland.
