How to Read the Results

Scores are calculated by averaging the score of all the persons who rated each item on the four-point scale (where 1=Never, 2=Sometimes, 3=Usually, and 4=Always). This resulted in an average score that ranged from 1 to 4. Higher scores are better.

One overall satisfaction question was rated on a scale of 1 to 10 where the number 10 represented the best or highest rating. The question that asked “Would You recommend…?” had the response options of “Definitely Yes, Probably Yes, Probably No, and Definitely No”. The results table shows the percentage of respondents that answered “Definitely Yes” and “Probably Yes”.

In comparing 2008 to 2007 results, a plus sign (+) in the “DIFF” column means that the facility is performing better statistically in 2008 than in 2007 on the specific item. A minus sign (-) means that the facility is not performing as well in 2008 as it did in 2007. If there is a blank in the “DIFF” column, there is no statistical difference in the two scores.
